Actually...living a life without fear is impossible, so let's focus not on fear, but on courage. Courage is the ability to move your life forward despite your fears.
I know how difficult it is to make changes in life. Let’s face it, the status quo is a safe place to be and who likes to deal with the unknown? This may be true; however, nothing great was ever accomplished without stepping out of your comfort zone and taking risks. Our great country was founded by men willing to risk it all for our freedoms. What are you willing to risk for greatness?
“A ship is always safe at the shore - but that is NOT what it is built for.”
― Albert EinsteinPlease give some serious thought to these questions:
1.) Do you want to live a safe life filled with mediocrity or an abundant life filled with hope for a better tomorrow?
2.) If you were willing to step out of your comfort zone today, and every day, what could you accomplish?
3.) What kind of impact could you have on those around you if you were living a full throttle life?
I believe we were all created for greatness. Somewhere along the line, we all bought into the lie that we need to sit back, like good little boys and girls, and not make waves.
Over the next 21 days I am going to encourage you all to kick that lie to the curb and start living the life you were created to live. You were created for a life of purpose, impact and influence. None of this will come to fruition unless you face your fears, take a stand and rock the boat a little.
I challenge us all, to take the weekly action steps, which are required to move our lives, relationships and careers forward. Over the next 3 weeks, I will offer a specific weekly challenge, but feel free to choose your own challenge. The important thing is that you are challenging yourself to move out of your zone of comfort into a place where you can maximize your potential and become the best version of yourself.
(Week #1 Challenge): It’s all about relationships
Let’s face it, if we were really honest with each other we would all admit that there are people in our lives we wish we had a better relationship with. Maybe it’s your wife, child or friend. Regardless of how good or bad those relationships are they could always be better.
Therefore, my challenge for you is to call or text a person you would like to connect better with and tell them you are thinking of them and just wanted to say “hi”. This simple act of kindness will be a blessing to you and the person you care about. Going forward, try to make this a weekly habit. You’ll be amazed at the results!!
